BEIRUT, July 31 -- The 23rd Chinese Peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) passed the third quarter equipment inspection organized by UNIFIL with excellent results on July 29, 2025. The inspection team highly praised the medical contingent's equipment management standards and medical support capabilities.
The inspection team consisted of 11 personnel from multiple UNIFIL departments including medical, transportation, engineering, communication, and environmental units. The team inspected 30 categories of major equipment and self-sustaining equipment, including medical devices, vehicles, communication equipment, weapons and ammunition, and environmental protection and firefighting equipment. After rigorous examination and assessment, the inspection team approved all items, demonstrating that the medical contingent is fully capable of executing all peacekeeping missions assigned by UNIFIL.
Since its deployment, the 23rd Chinese Peacekeeping Level One Plus Hospital to UNIFIL has provided medical treatment to over 3,000 patients, performed 10 surgeries, conducted nine humanitarian activities including medical outreach and donation, and completed joint exercises with friendly troops including medical evacuation drill. Through their professionalism and dedication, the Chinese peacekeepers have fully demonstrated China's commitment to maintaining world peace.
